Emma Hannaway is an independent film producer living in Baltimore and working wherever the road takes her. She produced STRAWBERRY MANSION (directed by Albert Birney and Kentucker Audley) which had its premiere at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival and was released by Music Box Films in early 2022. Most recently, she produced Olivia West Lloyd’s debut feature SOMEWHERE QUIET, which had its premiere in the US Narratives competition at the Tribeca Film Festival 2023. SOMEWHERE QUIET will be released by Vertical Entertainment in early 2024. Other credits include MY FIRST FILM (Zia Anger), AFTER THIS DEATH (Lucio Castro), NOMADLAND (Chloé Zhou) and THE TRAGEDY OF MACBETH (Joel Coen). Emma is a 2023 fellow with The Gotham / Cannes Producers Network. She is currently developing films with Albert Birney & Kentucker Audley, Olivia West Lloyd, and Cristine Brache.

Emma uses her strong background in physical production and her varied production experience to inform and build collaborative creative teams to support unique and non-traditional visions. She believes that powerful, bold stories come from deep wells of empathy to help us better understand ourselves and the world around us.

Emma is also a proud founding co-producer of the New/Next Film Festival. New/Next Film Festival is a 4-day festival held in Baltimore at the historic Charles Theatre. The festival is curated by creative director Eric Allen Hatch (Maryland Film Festival's director of programming, 2007-2018) and produced by public radio station WYPR.
